Default New 1/4 time.

So I went to the track for 1/4 with the TSC (toronto supra club) since my supra is down i went in the aristo.

Anyways, I jacked the boost and did 13.699 @ 103MPH on my first pass on street tires. I only hit 12 PSI according to the boost controller, so I don't know what was going on?

Anyways, I then added some drag radials that I just bought off a mustang owner on cobra R rims, and went again this time at 18 PSI best I could manage was a 2.0 60 foot and a 13.9 @ 100. I don't know what gives but I then raced a mk 2 supra that went 109 @ 12.8 and he was only pulling me very slightly took him till 100MPH to start reeling me in. That and the SRT8 Charger win does not equate to 103 MPH.

Someone said that I could have been screwing when break boosting.

He said that if you break boost and creep forward a bit you trigger the timing lights and that screws up your 1/4 and mph... Any ideas?

If you trigger the lights before it's green, you get a red light at most tracks.

I suspect the charger has better gearing and would pull away at mid-range speeds. Above highway speeds, horsepower is your concern and I think a BPU Aristo would be a better race against the SRT8 at those speeds.

I would have expected to see more like 2-4mph gap in the 1/4 vs. a 6mph gap though. Perhaps something changed on your car - ignition, timing over the 1/4, heat soak the IC (Aristo SMIC is smaller than Supra SMIC), etc. - whatever the case, it looks like you were definetely making less power on more boost (ecu saw a little knock, pulled timing?), or perhaps the guy was driving an r/t with a badge, or.... there are probably a few variables here.

the srt8 charger was real, I talked to the guy after the run for a good 10 min.

Anyways, it was a test and tune I dont know if it was red lighting?

Who knows, deff heat soake was a option because since my battery was dying I never shut off the car and drove stright off the road 1.5 hr drive on to the track, and just let it idle to cool down.

If you red light, it shouldn't give you a time at all... but maybe that track operates different than ours.

Do your timeslips have 330' 660' 1000' times/speeds or just 60' and 1/4 mile?

If they have the above, post your slip as it's hard to get an idea of where the differences would be without seeing it
