i need some help with my car,yesterday my brother took my car to local shop to change the battery and he hook up the new battery but he was put the wrong negative and possitive input,the main fuse is blow ,put the new one in and i was double check for all fuse but the engine won't start up,it was crank ,all i smell is gas ..please help me out...thank a lot..

 

I have the same problem with my other car if find something let me know and I'll do the same.

 

Switch ECU's and see if it starts.^^^^^^

start simple, you need spark and fuel to start a car. You smell fuel, but make sure its priming, pull the fuel line hose and put a bottle on the end. turn the key to the on position and if fuel squirts out... thats good! If you have that, you need spark. check all fuses related to ignition. check grounds. Start there.

 

since my car was gte swap. i don't know what else to check , all i can tell is fuel is fine but no spark, i dont know if there is any hidden fuse anywhere inside the car..let me know if you have any idea..thank

 

check your EFI fuse

I accidentally dropped a wrench on something under the hood and fried the ecu of my old 91 Saab 9000 turbo. Check the ecu bro.

 

i think so...i will buy another ecu...if it is not solve the problem i'm in deep shiet...thank for your help...

 

Before you buy one see if you can GET A FRIENDS ECU OR ASK THE SHOP OR SALVAGE YARD TO LOAN IF THEY'LL LET YOU AND DO A SWAP. Don't be so fast to buy another one just yet. That's what I had to do before coming to that conclusion.

 

got another aristo ecu from a member today,but the car won't start either,now i'm in deep shiet...don't know what else to check..my stupid brother jezz...

 

Well i think you said that you have fuel but no spark.
Does everything else in the car power up?
make sure to check all the relays under the hood
fuse box under driver kick panel also relays to the left of the parking brake towards the firewall
Use a Noid light to check you injectors (the injectors might be just dumping fuel insted of pulsing)
also use a meter and check the pulse to the coil pack's

 

everything power up as normal, only the engine can't start up,thank for your help..i will check for the relay ,,but i don't know how to check for the relay if it is goin bad...what the best way to check for the relay??? let me know if you have an idea..thank you

 

Do you have an AFC or something?
