I'm a newb to the Stock twins. I have an Aristo (real aristo) (gs300 with 2jz-gte from japan)

Anyways, I can't figure it out but my second twin doesn't come on all the time it's almost like it's not comming on at all and when it's supposed to come on the boost drops like crazy and the car feels like a snail and then all of a sudden the second twin comes on..

Any ideas guys? Could the valve be stuck that is supposed to spool the 2nd twin?

yeah that's where I sent it this morning. I sent it again, check the junk box.

 

thanks kaiser... I think it's gotta be a line spit it's for sure not a borken turbo as it does come on.... if i part throttle it and give it good load it seems to come on (but very slow almost like it doesn't want to) I think that the vac line isn't getting enough presusre to push the valve open properly or somethign.

 

btw what does the pressure tank do exactly? does it bulid up and after that point start opening the second twin smoother?

 

Sounds more like a faulty vacuum switch than anything else.

 

yeah thats what I've been thinking it's still doing it randomly...... but jesus when the 2nd twin comes on... i forgot how hard it pulls... my god.

 

do you have a boost controller installed ?

They can upset the twins operation if not plumbed and wired up properly...

 

yes I have an e-01 however it was working for weeks and then all of a sudden..

 

fixed just a stupid vac line on the IACT or what ever it's called

 

Overly complicated system. Replace it all with one big turbo heh heh
