Default oxygen sensor

Hi guys,
I read some posts here that said replacing oxygen sensor will help increase a lot the MPG of the 1st GS300. I just wonder if it is a really big difference ? Would anyone please confirm this for me ?
Anothe question, I go look around the internet and I see they have the "oxygen sensor" and the "oxygen sensor OE connector", which is one I need ?
I'm looking forward to reading your reply.
Thank you very much.
Vinh.
