Default Sunroof

On the 1993-95 models, the sunroof stops half way. Its supposed to be a protective feature but instead its annoying. My friend and i are trying to get rid of it. THere must be a sensor midway through the track that lets the sunroof that its time to stop at half way point. Unless its designed differently??

Anyone care to shine in!?

Find the diagram, it will show you if theres a some sort of sensor, whether(sp?) it be a clip, or if its an electric deal.

Mine does the same thing. I thought they all did that after reading of this in the SC forums. It must be an engineering flaw. I can live with it.

It's part of the design, according to my DS, as the "pinch-protection" hadn't been available yet on Lexus models until the mid/late-1990s. I suppose you get used to it, but it is rather annoying.
