retartd parts person....
I took my GS3 to get a little tune up today...plugs..wires... rotor and cap..and found out the parts person at lexus sold me the wires to a ES3 V6 instead of the inline one..Lucky my mech. is super cool..i have to go pick them up in the morning..but while sitting there in the shop bs'ing waiting on lexus to let me know if they could get them today...he told me that my engine was clean.. ..but im like its a 94..and has about 126,000 on it and this is the first tune up since Feb of '06.. ..here are a couple of pics..i ordered some auto rx to throw in when i do my oil change next week..I took these with my cell while we waited...(always thinking of you guys!!) what do you guys think
on the lexus part person note..heres what he gave me..90919-01168-83...plugs
90919-21607...wires...
now my car is sitting in the shop all alone...scared because i had to leave her....

it's a common confusion between GS300 and ES300... every time someone calls me looking for parts for either, i ask them if it's a V6 or straight 6... then they go check... haha.. or they get me a serial number...
90919-01168-83 and 90919-21563 are correct part numbers for your car...

The dealers in the Illinois area always as for your VIN. Logical because the r VIN will have the correct year and model/type. They also use this information to check scheduled mileage services that have not been done on your car.
Then they will try and sell you some maintenance service.
However, for me I do 95% of the work myself, 3% of the work I can't do I'll take to a TOYOTA dealer and 2% to the LEXUS dealer.
Saves alot of $$$$'s you just have to keep a log of all the work and oil changes etc... which I do. (mileage, parts used, part numbers, receipts, costs, date, purchased from, work performed by Me, Toyota, or Lexus etc..)
