Default Admiration progress shots

Hi Guys,

snapped a couple of shots while we trial fitted my admiration sides and rear (fortunately, my panel shop is literally through the back door of my factory so I know what they're up to and when they're not working )

Have to say, the fit and finish of the admiration kit is very good, though we've had to do some minor massaging of the skirts to stop the back doors hitting when closed. THe surprising thing is, I picked the kit up second hand in Japan so you'd think all of the fitment issues would have been taken care of already.

I have my Aristo lowered on HKS LS+ coilovers. I can't speak highly enough of these units. Even on 35/30 profile 19" rubber, the ride with these coilovers is close to factory comfort and the handling is a massive improvement over the standard suspension

Was a bit pressed for space to get decent shots, but you get the idea

Side - http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9214.JPG

Doesn't look too low - http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9215.JPG

Looks are deceiving! - front of drivers side skirt - http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9216.JPG

Rear of drivers side skirt - passes the coke can test! Well, nearly http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9221.JPG

Rear bumper - http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9212.JPG

Rear again - http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9209.JPG

And again - http://www.rampant.net.au/shop/images/IMG_9212.JPG

Front is lower than the sides, but didn't get time to take pics of that. A little more massaging/shaving the skirts and rear bumper to get a perfect line up with the panels and then these should be getting sprayed tomorrow

Cheers

Aaron

Cheers Goochy baby

Car is staying Silver for now. I can't decide what other colour I'd like to do it besides black and seeing as I already have another black Aristo on the way, I'm not going to respray this one to black.

One colour that I'm really partial to is the Toyota RSP - which was on late model JDM Supras and Soarers - it's a very bold colour for this kind of car though.

hopefully tomorrow - they're just finishing making sure the doors don't rub on the skirts, we had to trim some of the black rubber door seal along the bottom and smooth out where the back of the rear doors close against the body. It's also really hot here today, about 38 degrees centigrade - not good for painting silver metallic paint apparently

ACTUALLY now that I think about it, that is too bold for Aristo. Looks SEXUAL on that supra though!

They had a blue color similar to that on the 2nd Gen GS. I have seen a 1st gen with blue, maybe not RSP, but it was pretty none the less. With the right rims, I think it would look awesome on the GS.

I think you'd need some massive dish rims to get away with RSP - Blackfleet, Auto Couture or something like the Work equips on this car http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d69570446 (was going to buy this car but it just needs too much work) or some AME Shallens - something with that really bright chrome finish.

It's amazing how a set of rims can make or break a car. I've seen beautiful rims on the wrong car and they just don't do each other justice.

Default lucky dude!

thats really low, I can't setup that low in my home town, the sewer caps would get in the way, let alone the pot-holes on the street.

one thing nice about FRP is its repairable. The only thing is flexiblity and with time, the paint will spider and or flake. Too bad no one makes a "TRUE" urethane kit. all the ones sold from both JDM and USDM markets are all fiberglass and some use a special coating to enhance the flexiblity of the fiberglass.

There's a 2nd Gen GS that is blue. its not the same blue as the Supra but I think its pretty sharp. CL name is bluelex. My wifes IS300 has a darker blue than bluelex's ride. still nice!

you have pick's of the front in its unpainted but mounted condition? I'm interested in the fittment.
