I love those rims. I have been thinking about changing mine to something with black inner and silver dish. You have pretty much sealed the deal for me!!!

 

What brand turbo and turbo manifold are you using?

 

Does anyone in here have a moment to answer some questions and fill me with knowledge regarding turboing these earlier non VVTi GS300's? There is tonnes of info about the MK2 online, but not much about the MK1.

I've been asking questions all over the place but really I need to talk to someone with the knowledge lol.

My main questions are:
Regarding engine management options and wiring, stuff like that where I am unsure what parts will work and how difficult it will be. Can I just wire in a DET3? Are there better budget options?
Want to know your experience with how a stock A341E has lasted if you have done miles with it in a turbo converted car,
Limitation of standard injectors, ignition system, fuel pump, head gasket, head studs

My goal is 400+ crank HP for as close to £1500 ($2000 ish) as possible, I've seen it done, and I could spend more, but my goal is to do it cheaply even if it isn't ideal.

 

I recommend checking out supraforums for a lot of those questions; so many of those questions have been answered through thousands of posts and builds from like minded individuals. The 2jzge also came in the supra and its identical, so pretty much everything you can find on that forum regarding NA-T is there.

I think the Supras all had an A340E which I think can hold a little bit more power? But its true the engine is the same!
Do we know how different the ECU/etc is?
