Haven't had the chance to add myself yet so! Here's my introduction to the 1st gen forced induction
1993 GS300 out of Lynnwood, Washington that I got with a blown transmission, ended up doing a soarer R154 swap when the car was a GE, one piece DS, Max VIP coilovers and XXR 521 wheels w/ BFG rubber. Ended up getting rod knock and swapping in a jzs161 vvti, 97-98 motor mounts, running OEM ecu with ETCS-I throttle body, front mount intercooler w/ 2.5" hard pipes and JZA80 aluminum radiator with modified lower mounts. Plan on going megasquirt and a borg warner turbo some day.

Got tired of dumping miles on my newish ram so i went to my grandmas work n came home with a 93 gs300 for 200 dollas. 209k runs great. Interiors shot n gotta figure out why the driver door window switches dont work.

Nice.. As far as the switch, the common cause would be the contacts. If the contacts are worn out it won't activate the motor. Best choice is to replace the master switch, or if you know about electronics/ you can pull it apart and used a solder gun with some solder to built up the contacts below the master window switch.

Check the wire booth the runs between the door frame and the door. Make sure the wires in there are not damaged. Sometimes from opening the door all the time, the wires in that booth would become damage/ completely cut like somebody put a side cuter to them. Repaire if any, all the damaged wired you can find.

Probably the first place to start would be the forum. Here is the official gen 1 GS300 thread. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...iy-how-to.html

Hello everyone.
Just picked up mine today. Black with an Aristo rear and a 1.5JZ on a single turbo with a W58. Was a daily driver so even though it sat, it started and ran beautifully. Needs some TLC and a proper tune but it's a fantastic base with a lot of the tougher work out of the way.

Japanese engineering is pretty straight forward yes. The hardest part of this swap is completing the wiring. Some swaps only need a harness lengthened, some need a little more. I chose to leave that part to someone much more experienced than me, but everything else I was able to do myself on my swap.
