Post How do you replace the serpentine?

I assume there is a tensioning pulley but I want to ask someone who had done the work before. Please explain how to replace the serpentine belt. Mine is badly cracking and I don't want to spend one million dollars to have the dealer or a shop do it if it is simple.

Thanks a mil.

yes there is a tensioner in the center of the block. You need a 14mm wrench. Push down on it from the drivers side.

The Goodyear "Poly-V" serpentine belts have had good recommendations.

You should be able to press down hard at the belt's widest point between two pulleys and the belt move inward about a quarter of an inch with a new belt.

The new belts tend to stretch slightly, so a recheck after a day or so is recommended.
