Red face o2 sensor/mileage relation

I got a 95 gs with 99xxx on. When do o2 sensors usually get changed out?? Does it effect the gas mileage significantly??? (I usually get 14-16 with nice drivin)

Also, at times, i get 50 miles in the first quarter of the tank , sometime i can get 90 ....same driving style. Any suggestions??

Wow...50 and 90, that is a huge difference that like the difference between 10mpg and 18mpg...Youve either got to be lieing or somethin is really wrong with your car. I know that I usually get about 75-100 by the time I get to my 3/4 mark. When its 75, you know Ive been tryin to keep up with my friends in their 350Z's and Corvettes and S2000's. Its ok though, once I go turbo, only the corvette will prove to be a challange.

As far as your problem it doesnt sound like the O2 sensor as that would give you all around crappy gas mileage. Just try and not drive over 80mph for one gas tank, and also only get on it if you have to...to avoid an accident or to merge. Ive just filled up my tank today, and with a little bit of driving fast with my friends I have 70 miles and Im just now getting under the Full mark...so I dont know man.

Someone else will chime in, and if they dont, the search feature is always good.

Perhaps i need a brake fluid flush. Feels like my brakes are stickin again...now that its below 30degrees here and it hasnt been for the past 2 3 weeks.

Maybe it hasnt been changed out for a while and thickens up when it gets cold.

Also, i noticed my temp gauge jumpin goin from right on the just below half line to an arrow thickness above that line (when i feel resistance in the car)
