Default Common Transmission Problems?

I have 93 gs300 and am having a problem. Every once in a while the trans make a loud squealing noise when you first start it up. and it will shift really hard into gear. once it warms up its good. then it will have a problem down shifting when come almost to a stop until warm... like when you forget to push in the clutch on a manual. I am guessing that it is a solenoid/computer issue. Any help in this area would be great

Thanks again

I really thing this is funny how your thread got moved. This has nothing to do with a 1st Gen ONLY!!!!!!

As for your problem, how many miles you got. Might be time for rebuild. Good luck

Could be as simple as the fluid, check that first wrong type of fluid or really low tranny fluid will cause it to do that. The best thing to do is flush it and check to see if there is any metal shavings in the fluid, and if there is better start looking for another tranny and if there is not make sure you put the proper fluid in the tranny and go from there. Good luck...
