Default HIDs installed

I got my HID kit today and i hooked it up. Took literally minutes to install, but I am good with electrical components so I understand wiring quite easily. Here are some pics of the lights. I have no cutoff or glare problems. The pics are kinda crappy, but it's raining outside so i couldn't really get some real nice shots.

I was going to take some shots of my aerokit today but the rain spoiled it. And I have no room in the garage, so the pics will have to wait.

Here's a front view

Here's the cutoff...didn't really know how to take this pic...just leaned over the dash and snapped

The pictures really don't do justice...i mean...wow...haha...i just sat in my car for with the lights on for a good half an hour. A big waste of gas but it was a big diffrence

Well i kept it at 6000k cause I drive the car a lot and i read somewhere about the higher ones not being as bright. I got the Phillips 6000k HID kit.

You don't want 8000k because they are blue and the contrast is that of blue bulbs. You won't be able to see the road and there is less visibility because if the color.

Well it's up to you. LexAristo explained it better than I did. I still want to see where I'm going when I'm driving at night and the 6000k has function and appeal.

Default A question

does the Auto option on the light switch have any effect on the HIDs? If it is bad, does anyone know how to disable it?

listen to Bryan... he occasionally knows what he's talking about.

That does look quite nice. Once you get HIDs it's hard to imagine how you ever got by without them.

a slight blue like 6000k is best
(mine are listed as 8000k, but there's no way they are, everyone that sees them says 6k, and so does justin with AAC)
your eyes are used to correcting most of the light it sees, IE reg light bulbs are yellowish, flourescent are green. a slight blue tint is closer to white light. When not using a flash on a camera you can see the differences in the different types of lighting, IE incondesant, floursescent.

No effect, it just turns on when it's if you set it at auto.

Ken at www.kwimports.com ( sales@kwimports.com) offers clublexus members the philips kit (authentic philips bulbs and ballasts) for about 475 shipped which is nearly 25-50 off the normal price. Just tell him bryan aka lexaristo sent you and you will be taken care off.
