my 99' gs 300 is at 70,000 miles and the dealer told me that the driving belt need to be replaced because it's cracking. i thought driving belt and timing belt is replacing at 90,000 miles together. do yall think i can wait until 90k miles and replace them.

If that belt is cracking GET IT DONE! The belt is cheap. The labor may be a couple hundred but thats better than replacing the engine.

He's referring to the accessory belt, not the timing belt. So labor shouldn't be more than an hours worth of labor.

turbo- thanks for pointing that out it thought the timing belt was cracking.. The accessory belt is pretty easy to change. If you have any mechanical knowledge you can probably do it
