Default quick question about rims/tires

i recently bought a '95 gs300 and wanted to put some rims on it. ive decided on 18' and wanted to know if i needed to get low profile tires to avoid the tires rubbing against the fender. i really dont want to get low profiles because of the ride comfort so can someone tell me if its possible or do i have to get 17's instead? thanks.

Offset determines whether you will rub or not, not rim size. You can have 20 inch rims and have high offset like stock rims and not rub.

Exactly, I assumed that was understood...

Bryan, do you still have that chrome grill that you mentioned in another post? When this old man gets his pension loot, I may give you a hoot. The Toyota emblem can be replaced with the Lexus emblem, correct?
