I apologize for bringing up another thread in regards to this.... (i did a search and didn't find the answer i was really looking for for) so....i'm thinking of investing in one of these lil guys....but where'd you get yours from (did it come with the gasket?) ? and i'm aware that it only helps the engine a small deal, but every little helps...does it not? thank you very much guys..

 

i got mine at pepboys for about 4 bucks for my honda. i cant seem to find one for my lexus though, but i have a 2nd gen.

 

thanks for the response....i guess my biggest fear of going to pepboys/autozone is that i actually went there and got one for my 88 mustang gt one time and i had to deal with incompetence for my magnetic plug giving me a break down of the actual size (thread) drain plug that's for my particular vehicle.....everybody gave me different size for some reason and thought i knew nothing about my own vehicle that i worked on myself....i demanded the proper thread size and they sold me the one they suggested anyways (i measured it) it was a nightmare....(speaking as a high end luxury customer service rep myself) i felt like dragging the guy from behind the counter....but i calmly took the item back and went our seperate ways...

anyways,lol....i see these sold all over ebay.......but i guess i'm a little scared on how accurate THEY are....or perhaps are they trying to sell me a dud? Is there a such thing as a stronger magnet sold?
