engine check probelm
hello all
I have 2000 GS300 and the engine check light went on yesterday, after i swing my car from the left to the right of the road by avoid hitting a deer. i went to a car parts shop, they told me is the P0161-02 sensor (heater circuit bank 2 sensor 2). So can someone tell me what this sensor located, what i think is, may be just the wire get loose by the swing. any suggestion welcome and thank you very much

Uhhh, no the wire isn't loose on a 2000 GS3. it's the rear 02 sensor, should be a front one and a rear one(should be on the exhaust manifold near the rear) and another maybe after the cat.You can't fix it, replace it! BTW, what octane gas do you use in your GS3.
thank you for your input, i'm using #91 gas (the best one), BTW you said replace it, do you mean the sensor?, because to me (not too familiar with cars) sensor is to detect the problem so should i replace the parts that course the problem, not something to detect the problem?
again thank you very much

The sensor is bad, there is no problem, it's worn out
Once it's replaced you may get a little better mileage. It's also my opinion you should replace the other 02 sensor or sensors as well. If one is bad ususally the others are not far behind.
