anyone know if this same idea (bag+wheel+clockspring) could be used on the UCF20 LS400 and the UCF21/30 wheel?

Was there anything custom that needed to be done for the plugs to work? Here is a pic of the back of the two types.
Wow, I must of forgot about this thread. 01 rx 300 airbag is single stage and will work. (had to fix this up not to give any false info)

I am not sure about this one, sorry I would say yes give it a try, but before u get to involved put bolth cars next to each other, pull off the airbags, see if the plugs are the same. If they are different, u will need to look further to the clockspring plug that connects below the steering column, if it is the same i would call it a "go". After all if it don't work , just re-assemble each caR back to oem. Of course make sure ur battery is disconnected at all times, until finished. And when u r done , put the the key in the "on" position Before connecting the battery.

I would like to know if anyone has swapped out a steering wheel with a newer one, and got the steering wheel buttons to work...

I recently discovered the dimensions of the Gen2 stereo appears to be the same as the Gen1. So I am thinking about swapping in a Gen2 stereo and specific steering wheel with radio buttons and giving it a go.

If anyone knows anything, please share.

I know this is old, but does anyone know for sure if we can actually use a different steering wheel/air bag/clock spring combo? I found one on Ebay for a '90 Supra that I was thinking about trying.

I'm slowly taking the steps to convert my tan interior to black.

Has anyone out there tried to see if the airbag from a 92-98 SC400 will work on a 97-2001 ES300 or older wooden four spoke single stage Lexus steering wheel?
I have tried searching and still have not come up with my compatibility answer.
Thank you very much.
