My GS is missing!
DOUBLECHECK THAT all the water is out! Did you use a long tip on the compressor to get into the sparkplug wells? Lastly , pull off the distributor cap, mine had some scoring from all the shorting clean the contacts and and or replace cap, rotor, and wires and plugs, if they've never been done. I used iridium plugs and found some nice 8.8mm wires on the net. Most places only carry 5mm for the GS300.
OH ONE OTHER VERY IMPORTANT THING! When I removed my old plug wires some of the terminals came off the wires and were still on the plugs. You really should just replace everything. You'll save some money doing it yourself. You might be able to use a DMM between the plug wires at the cap and ground to check to see if any of the plugs are still shorted.

Thanks for all the help everyone! The car is back up and running even better than before (my mech. said). He said that there was still a little trace of water in the #4 spark plug well, and the plug boot. I had him replace all the spark plug wires, plugs and Tb gasket. I can't wait to pick it up after work today! The best thing is......it cost me $0.

I had the same problem guys when I got my engine shampooed from this body shop mechanic
why I did that I shall never know but it was one of those things I wont regret doing seriously!
Well you see the thing is after you get a proper engine shampoo done your car does run smoother and engine responds better as well thats the whole point of performing this service!
However in my case water went into the spark plugs and apprently I had to change some cables that are present for the electric mechanism of the car
I dont even know myself exactly to be honest my mechanic did it and after doing that the car is just performing better then before and everything is been fine ever since!

Hey guys, I have had no problems what so ever with my 1994 GS300, until today, I dont know if this could of made the problem start, but today I had my engine cleaned when my car was detailed, I also removed my subwoffer from the trunk and two wires touched and sparked. After taping the wires and what not I went and parked my car. About 4 hours later I started my car and it started fine, but it dropped from about 1250RPM to 500RPM and then started shaking a little, now at 1500RPM it doesnt shake, and when I put it in drive it stays at 500RPM and shakes. So I have no idea what is wrong I dont know that much about cars at all, but I dont want to go to the dealer and have them feed me some crap and charge me up the yingyang for parts and what not. So if you guys could reply to this or Send me a email Id appreciate it. Logroll1@yahoo.com
Thanks

My car ran fine all threwout the day, it didnt start the idleing problem until like 5 hours later. I thought maybe I screwed something up when I unhooked my subwoffer. Anyway the cleaning that I got I think he said it was somekind of Steam cleaning. Hopefully that will help you guys give me more info on whats wrong.

Geno, it sounds like you have the same exact problem I had. The only thing that I'm trying to figure out is..why did it take 5 hours for it to start hesitating? Do you notice that it has a hard idle when it warms up, or when it's cold? Also, if you try to accelerate, does it sputter kinda?
Yeah when you first turn it over it goes to about 1250RPM and then drops to 500RPM and then it sputers hard, like run fine for a sec then sputter for a sec, and it does hesitate when you give it gas.

lol well thats why i use a power washer gets the job done and mists the water so your actually using less i just try to avoid that area of the engine. but you could always try the alternative and lick your engine clean
