Ouch, that's pretty bad. Glad she's doing OK, but still make sure she gets a thorough checkup. Lots of neck/back problems show up even weeks later after something like this.

dam, that was such a clean first gen too. was it lowered on anything. sorry to hear about the mishap but i found that the first gen gs pulls off to the side pretty bad when i went though some water puddles and section of streets that just had an area of water sitting there. it feels like the car slows down right away and all of a sudden the car wiggles for a second. its probly the design of the stock suspension or something.

Sorry to see what had happened.
Main thing is that your gf is ok.
T.L.W,
Moving up has nothing to do with it. People own cars for the love of the car and it doesn't matter if it is a "classic" car.

damn straight bryan
and I am sorry to hear about your GS man, that's rough.
I've killed two cars myself and don't want to do it again, specially because I could drive my gs until it turns to dirt.

thanks for all the kind words guys....yes my gf has gone thru all the checkups and the doctor stated that he cant believe that not a scratch was on her. He said the car definitely took the brunt of the impact and that ifshe was in a smaller car theres no telling how bad she could have been injured. For that I'm grateful. As far as the car, Inusrance is looking into it right now. I should have an answer by next week. I havent thought about getting another car just yet. I do know that whatever car I get, I won't be leaving this forum anytime soon. I've learned more about cars in general from the information on the boards....I'll keep u guys posted....drive safe...
