Default Windshield washer switch caught Fire.........

The little button which operates the washer fluid fell off a while back. The little spring inside went flying. I found later. Well....my wife was driving the car and was trying to figure out how to get it to work, and shorts something out, and burns her finger, and melts the end of the lever. Everything else in the car still works, all electrical stuff, wipers etc....... except the washer fluid switch. I can get the arm online for $114.42. The Dealer wants $145.00. Do you think I should call Carson's? Or is this to small of a deal? what is the #, and who should I ask for?

Thanks
Mike

I wouldn't be surprised if Carson Toyota could beat the $114 price. Do you need instructions on how to get it on and off?

Default Carson's #

Do you know Carson's #? I was just going to pay a Lexus mechanic on the side $75.00 to do it. Is it a easy job? I was told the airbag has to be removed, along with the steering wheel....etc.....

Yeah you have to remove the steering wheel. Probably worth $75 to not have to mess with that. I always PM SUPRATRD first with the parts I want and then he quotes me prices. Glad the whole car didn't catch on fire, but hopefully the windshield washers would have put it out. lol.
