Jmai22, I'm taking it (since we are in the first gen gs forum) that you have a gs300!!?? I want to do that lextech mod that you did, but I'm confused on what they can do for the gs model. The way I have taken the info that they have posted on their website is that you can only have bright red or bright amber because of the red bar. I also see that you noted on your thread that you have white on blue SC needles, so they just swapped the gs needles for those? Thanks....Lex1

btw, those of you who are planning to get this done expect the following,

1. Your temp needle will not go up to the half mark anymore, it will only go up to about the 2nd line. so now the 2nd line is your normal temp.

2. Your Gas needle will now always sink to the bottom when you turn off the engine, it will not stay at the same place as before you shut off the engine. I'm not exactly sure how accurate the gas needle is, but so far so good, the gas light comes on at the right time still.

3. the speedo and tech are still running perfectly correct.

the needle problem was brought up in the past the answer to the problem was that the weight of the new needles make them do that.

So, if you just had the cluster repaired and didn't get custom needles that weigh more it would all work like before (gas and temp needle)? If mine breaks I just want it to light up like stock...yours looks cool, though.

you would have to ask OLT that. i'm not too sure if he can do that. because the way he repairs them is that he just replaces them with different LED's but the reason why ours could only be red is because of the red coating that our needle has. i'm pretty sure they all get replaced the same though. its just a matter of LED color.

also he says on the website that the reason why you have to send it in and its soo hard is because of calibration, but if he calibrated that why is my temp needle doing this?
