I wish I had known 2 years ago.
A question though, do they deal with getrag transmissions or have a dyno? I am buying a Supra soon that will need a tranny rebuild and has a AEM EMS. That would be great if they could give me a price estimate to see what I am looking at.

autometrics deals with only the body work.....i have a private guy who can do engine work on my car if i need it done....he is in waterford michigan if you need the number let me know...

I see, it is extremely difficult to find tuning shops for imports around Michigan, much less a place that will rebuild a getrag.
I don't plan on keeping the AEM-EMS, I will most likely switch to a stock ECU but the auto tranny is dead. Does the guy you got through in Waterford have any expierence with Supras or rebuilding Toyota auto tranny's......??!

ok i spoke to my guy he does everything but...he will even do the twin turbo's which i will speak to him about...but a rebuild he out sources it to a guy down the street...im calling the guy right now...and his sec has me on hold...lol

the guys number is 248.682.7533.....his company is called Metric Auto...i spoke to Larry himself...Larry Metric...remember he is a referal...so i dont know a lot about him but my mechanic highly recommends him for tranny rebuilds my mechanics owner TED "He stands behind his work like we do!" that was enough for me to call..!...let me know the results i spoke to him yesterday...so if you hurry he might remember you....Good Luck!
