Did you find an independent Lexus mechanic in Metro Detroit area? I have been looking for one as well.

Thanks

No. I just went to Meade Lexus in Southfield and had it replaced this weekend. It's one less thing I need to worry about

If you find someone. Please post it here. I just ordered a door actuator that I need to have installed. I cannot pay the dealership $500 for that. It's a $90 part.

I know good/reasonable mechanics that I have taken my older toyotas to but not the recently bought 2006RX330. Mine has 104K miles and in overdue for timing belt. Lexus in Southfield quoted me 1050+tax for TB+water pump.

Page Toyota quoted me ~600 for the the timing belt (without water pump). I have noticed that the Lexus Southfield prices are reasonable compared to Toyota dealership.

There is another independent shop (new to me) willing to do the timing belt for $350. I have not yet decided who to go to.

Please note that I have never been there and cannot vouch for their work.

Try Fox Toyota in Rochester Hills. Cheap and quality service.

On another note, any recommendations for inexpensive exhaust shops in Metro Detroit?

Hi guys, I know this may not be the best place to post, but I have some 19" Volk SF Challenge wheels for sale. I'd post in the classified's section but I don't have the post count necessary.

A couple of you have met me at the Toyota Technical Center car show held earlier this year (which this post has nothing to do with).

If anybody's willing to vouch for me or if you are interested in the wheels please let me know.

I don't know if this is allowed, but here's the link to the for sale ad over on my350z.com which I am a long time member of:

Thanks!!
