July 21-22 NASA Midwest Event at Autobahn Country Club (South)
First off, it would be the SAME PLACE, TIME AND LOCATION as a BBQ meet posted in this thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=291548
So for those who are not interested in driving on track, you are still come to the BBQ. Any cars, any makes are welcome.
And here is the link to the track for address, track maps, videos, etc.:
http://www.autobahncountryclub.net/
NASA will be running the SOUTH course.
As usual, the event includes HPDE, Time Trial and Racing. They also have the new 2-hr Enduro at the very end on the FULL course (Saturday only). In addition, they call this event a *Family Event*, so bring your spouse and/or little kids, they will have some activities for them too.
Registration is open here:
https://www.nasaproracing.com/nasa_e.../?event_id=532
You may be able to register at the track depending on availability. But they will charge a $50 additional fee. And once again, here is the info for their volunteer program. You can volunteer and earn credit towards your next event:

This is the in-car video of me racing there last year:
Clicky (126Mb)
Here's the in-car video from another driver in the exact same race. At the 10-min mark, I got in front of him and stayed in his video screen for the rest of the race:

But it's too late for me to skip the Autobahn event.... It is also a point race for me in the Midwest Honda-Challenge series, so I need to make it out there.
We should definitely plan some events for next year (or later on this year!). Hope to see more IS's out on the track. It's such a great car.

The older chassis with a 2jz-turbo is very entertaining out on the track.
But yes. we should defintely hit up a NASA event for time trials!.
Im pretty busy for the rest of this year building the house and working and getting married. But i will definitely keep in touch

I just checked the website, HPDE Group 1, 2, 4 and Time Trials are SOLD OUT!!
Only Group 3 left (advance).
They *might* offer a lunch time parade session for all visitors. With a speed limit and a pace car, everyone can get out there to see how the track is like in their minivan, SUV or whatever. They did that for Grattan. Hope they would do that again this weekend.
