It's to my knowledge that USPS always gave them out for free..

they used to give them for free, but I think they stopped for a while because everyone was abusing it. I don't think they give the tapes anymore...

 

The tapes rocked...

 

I use to order a bunch of them back in the days when i use to sell cellphone accessories on ebay.
They gave me shipping labels with store address pre printed for me. Packing tape and extra priority labels.
Reason they give it for free is because you have to use it for their Priority Mail Service.

Back then they never printed USPS on the back side of the boxes so what some people did was fold the box the otherway to ship them UPS or FEDEX. Now usps got smart and print USPS on the back side of their packaging so people cant abuse them anymore(but they still do)


The tapes were garbage anyways. It was thinner than paper and was so easy to rip.

ohhh... i was still on the ebay one. of course.

 

I didn't order any of the eBay ones because I thought perhaps the fact that those boxes are labeled with eBay logos might make them more prone to theft at recipients' doorstops. You can never be too cautious haha.
