FYI, before getting this piece, make sure you have a return fuel system, since the '97-'01 ES300 uses a returnless fuel system, this part will not work without adaptation to a return system. I believe the '92-'96 uses a return system, but no simple bolt-on force induction to take advantage of the regulator. Not sure what type of system the '02-up has.
The 160 thermostat drops the engine temp down 10 degrees total, allowing the air fuel charge to be slightly cooler along with keeping the heads slightly cooler, eliminating hot spots. Total combined effect here was that the I cannot make my supercharged engine ping no matter what I try now, whereas before I could get it to ping in nearly any gear above 1st if put it on the rugs below 3000 rpms....
