You can change out the hard drive. Apple considers RAM upgrades and Hard Drive upgrades to be interchangeable parts, thus not voiding the warranty on the computer.
I would recommend the new intel 510 SSD's or OWC vertex 3 SSD's. Once you go SSD, you can't go back to the regular HDD. They're ages slower. Yes, I don't think Coconut Battery is really all that accurate. I've never heard of 103% before, but let's be honest, it's pretty cool.
CaliChris, to prove how fast it is, take the top of the line 2010 i7 from last year's MBP line with the 2.8ghz intel core i7 process and use handbrake to rip a movie. It will do an average movie in 19 minutes. Ripping the same movie with this computer will do it in about 6 minutes. That's a huge improvement.
Dave, I will do just that.

I can vouch for Tungo. Also, I'm an IT Manager for an entertainment company and have dealt with Apple warranties. Swapping out the hard drive will not void the warranty for all of the other components (keyboard, trackpad, LCD, etc.) but, obviously, the upgraded hard drive wouldn't be covered. I've got the 17" version of this and I upgraded my drive to a 1TB.
