Default Complete Home Theater Setup: Not Crap

I have a chance to upgrade to a complete Meridian system for a great price and I am thinking about jumping on the opportunity. To do this would mean I would have to get rid of my current setup. Everything I have was NEW in March/April and probably has <100 hours use on it. I don't know if anyone here cares or has interest in higher end home theater equipment, but I have the following I would be selling:

-B&W 804s Fronts: Retail $4000, Asking $3000

-B&W HTM3s Center Channel: Retail $2500, Asking $2000 (These sell for $2150 used on audiogon)

-B&W SCMs Surrounds: Retail $2200, Asking $1650

-Cary Audio Cinema 11 Surround Processor: Retail $3000, asking $2300

-Parasound Halo A52 5 Channel Amp: Retail $2000, asking $1500

-Escient SE-D1 DVD Manager and Sony DVPCX777ES 400 disc DVD Combo: Retail $1800, asking $1400

-Def Tech Supercube II sub (this is the only older piece here, I have had this roughly 3 years now): Retail $800, asking $350

Complete System: Retail $15900, asking $12200. If someone buys this whole package I will also include about ~$1000 worth of Audioquest interconnects/speaker cable (King Cobra 1m RCAs, CV-6 DBS 8ft pair Speaker Cables for the front L/R channels) that are currently used in the system.

This is roughly 24% off not including the taxes you would have to pay if buying new. Search around through audiogon.com to see what this stuff is selling for if interested. I have all original boxes, packaging, manual, jumper cables, etc. The only product for which I DON'T have these items is the sub which is the only older product I have.

This setup sounds phenomenal and if it weren't for the opportunity to buy this complete Meridian setup at a great price I wouldn't be considering selling.

My email is ebanks@coresleep.com if interested.

B&W is no joke.....great stuff you got there. Makes my H.T. system look like "hush puppies" - PSB Stratus Gold (L&R), Stratus C6i (center), Stratus mini's (surrounds), James subwoofer - EMB1200 w/ B&K ref. 50 & B&K 200.5 amp.

Good luck with the sale!! Someone needs to "jump" on this - it's a great deal and instant high level Home Theater - must sound kick @$$!!

Thanks for the compliments guys... Like I said, if I didn't have this chance to get a complete Meridian setup at such a good deal I wouldn't even consider this. This setup sounds fantastic and it's all hardly even used!

Wow.. you must like buying things and selling them cheap a short time later. This is an incredible deal.

Just curious, are these the Nautilus series or the DM series? I haven't kept up with home theater products recently, but B&W have always made incredible speakers. Excellent for music. Too bad most people waste their money on the Best Buy / Circuit City junk.

They don't make those series of speakers anymore. This would be compared to the nautilus line though. These are the 800 series which is their highest end series (unless you get to the actual speaker called the nautilus, which is a speaker that requires quad amps per speaker and costs like $80k/pair or something similarly crazy).

I wouldn't be losing the money on this so quickly if it weren't for the money I am going to save of the meridian stuff being even greater.

Have you looked at possibly selling this stuff on "audiogon " or "videogon"? You would definitely get some nibbles there........

I will end up selling it on audiogon as I have sold things there in the past. I think I could sell everything within a few weeks on there, I thought I would try all the car forums I am on first to see if anyone wanted everything all together as shipping all this stuff separately is going to be a hassle!

Hey Ethan,

I sent you a PM and an email a few days ago about your sub. I am very interested.

Thanks,

Nice setup.

Odd question here but, do you think the center channel would blend into my Martin Logan system???

I'm looking for a center...

And a monoblock as well.
