FYI: I have a treo 600 on the same network and I was able to unlock it myself. There's software floating around everywhere so if you're worried about this working on another network - don't be. Just unlock it and go.

Method 1- If you've been a customer with cingular for more than ___ months, * i dont remember how many months * you can call them up and tell them that you're going to europe on a business trip and they'll unlock it for you. That's one way to unlocked the T650.
Method 2 - Some folks have different software where you give them the IMEI of the phone and some other serial number and they'll send you the unlock codes via email. This will cost you anywhere from 25-50 depending on the vendor.
Method 3 - reflash the phone. It's like reformatting the phone. This can be very dangerous, however, as you can brick the T650 if you do it wrong and it's a pretty lengeth process.
This is an awesome phone folks, and this is a very sweet deal. Don't miss out
