Default Headlight Restoration!

The headlights on my '08 2IS have been yellow since I bought it last year, and they've only gotten worse. So today I decided to get them restored. I got them done by Jevel from GlossHouse Headlight Restoration and he did a great Job. The pictures don't do any justice as these lights now look brand spanking new. Here's some before(top) and After(bottom) pix. Let me know what you guys think!

did he put on the UV coating to ensure longevity of the restoration? or was it a sand/buff/polish restoration?

^This......if it lacks the UV finish, it's a half-*** job that will show in about a month or so.

I wouldn't recommend sanding your headlights, headlights have a thin layer of clearcoat. What will happen is the clearcoat with age and yellow out or flake off. These 3M sanding kits are a temporary fix and like the post above mentioned will only last a few months.

If you have yellow headlights lightly wet sand with 2500 grit, and use special compounds with a slow buffer or by hand. If 2500 is not enough you may need to sand the clearcoat completely off and reclear the headlights.

Im not sure where it can be found. The guy that did mine makes his own. Not sure how but seems to be pretty decent.

Thats exactly what was done to mine. It was given a very light sand until all the yellowing was removed, then re-cleared. After restoration, I had one of the lights replaced under warranty for a bad ballast and the difference is noticeable but no where near as bad as it would've been before the restoration.
