he issues me a speeding ticket which says in one area on palm ave (mind you its about 2miles from where he stopped me) i was estimated by sight doing 80 in a 40 then in the other part of ticket it says estimated 85 is the speed .. officer traveling opposite direction , 9:30 at night , can he really estimate my speed with no other cars around just based on sound

i say sound because he also issued ticket for modified exhaust so he heard my exhaust while accelerating and assumed i was speeding , he had no radar , no laser onme and again clearly wrote on tkt estimated speed by sight

he also issued a tkt for me failing to signal right turn from palm to pines mind you he had to be at least 1/2 mile back and had no clear shot at night to clearly establish it was me the actually turned for i did signal

now why did he not stop me on pines seeing that he accused me of speeding and failing to signal , why did he not stop me after turning into my development which was another 1/4 to half mile , why did he not stop me there

so do you guys think this scnerio will hold any water and he issued me tkt for modified exhaust
This is funny. I saw you passing by, I was at starbucks and i saw you car and then the cop flew by. I thought he was going to the police station but he went straight, so I assumed that he was going after you.

No you were driving normally. I saw you by earlier, and you were cruising.

Hey Ed! I replied over in SF.com as well

"I honestly think you have a solid chance at taking it your self but, with one of these lawyers it's in the bag for sure!"

Ed, if you have a digital camera take pictures of the street and signs with speed limits and all. It the speed limit is true to what you say then you have a big advantage. Pictures don't lie.

When you hire a ticket lawyer he won't show the judge or whoever pictures of signs and limits just to show. if the cops show usually the lawyer would except the charges but without points.

Yes, forget the lawyer and just show up by yourself with some pictures of a street sign. Listen to one guy out of the whole thread. Forget the rest of them, they have no idea what they are doing and never got a ticket.

I have to go to the ticket lawyer this Friday because I got a ticket about three weeks ago by this damn Pembroke Pines bike cop on Pembroke Rd right before 72nd Ave. I was on my way to work when I was pulled over.

just go fight it... as long as you have a good argument and evidence (pictures, maps, etc.) you will cast a reasonable doubt and they will dismiss.

The cop tells his story first and its your job to take notes and refute anything he saids that is inaccurate. You should not point out the discrepancies in the ticket until the officer is done speaking. Seeing as he doe not have a radar or laser quote in the ticket is to your advantage. There not hard recordable evidence of you speeding.

All the lawyer is going to do is go speak with the judge and get you a reduced fine. All those guys work together in the courtroom. Only time you need a lawyer is if you're too lazy to go to court or have a bad ticket record.
