I can get 3.5 mile / kWh if I stay under 80mph but half the cars are flying on the highway. It's a 70mph speed limit so cruise speeds were 85mph on the left.

I just did a rough calculation, and I am currently using 35 kWh every 100 miles, which breaks down to .35 kWh per mile, or 1.05 kWh every 3 miles. This is combined city/hwy. Not to bad. Less than your M3, but still pretty good

That's good. More than enough for a road trip. Have fun and enjoy. My 200 mile trip cost like $6

Mine will cost $0 with free charging. I'll probably end up mainly using 150kw chargers as I checked the route, and each EA has only 2x 350kW chargers and the rest are 150kW. That's ok, as instead of 20 minutes I'll probably be doing 30 to 35 minute stops. Unless I get lucky and the 350kW chargers are available

Unless you go to Costco for gas where premium is just below $6. I just filled up my Lexus on Thursday after two months, half tank premium was $48. I've barely broken $200 in 4 months daily driving the Polestar

I've spent nothing on Electricity at home but I've taken 4 road trips. 600 miles has cost me like $50. Going green has never been cheaper.

On another note, I can't get my son to take my IS350, he keeps wanting to borrow my Polestar when I'm not using it. At his age (18) I would have grabbed that car in a hot second! He heard me talking to my wife about possibly buying out the lease when it's up and he's hoping to get it. He always uses the "I'm trying to save you money on gas" excuse. LOL kids today...

I know you like your IS350 and I had an F Sport for 5 years and 60k miles but it can't hold a candle to my M3P. I bet your Polestar 2 is also that much better. It is what it is.

As far as performance, definitely the Polestar will run rings around it. As far as character, they never will make a car like the IS350 again, especially the 2nd gen. As you have probably heard, the 2IS was geared more towards performance than the newer gen IS. And once they officially take away the 3.5L 2GR and replace it with a neutered 2.0t or hybrid, it's all over for the IS

I had to postpone my trip to SoCal. I'm still testing positive as of last night, plus I have a nasty cough that doesn't seem to want to go away which may be a secondary sinus infection. Anyway, I've tentatively moved my trip to next week

Hope you feel better soon. We just had a terrible cough and cold rip through our house, though thankfully we all tested negative.

Thank you very much! It's spreading like wildfire in both SoCal and NorCal. One quarter of our office in San Jose has tested positive, and masks in the office are now required again. Luckily everyone is vaccinated so no serious illness, though even the "mild" form is pretty horrible. It's like the energy has been sucked out you. Hospitalizations are low here, so that's a good sign

My locality just got upgraded to "Medium" risk, so I'm going to go back to wearing my mask at work. Everyone I know is vaccinated except my son, who's too young. His sisters are fully vaccinated, but I'm still worried.

Get well soon!
