You just have to put in the extra effort. As you know I have two black cars. I take them to the carwash every other week, and try and use Chemical brothers waterless carwash in-between
Yeah but you drive a lot of miles.
I could probably get 6 months between washes if your washes last two weeks. Haha 😂
Neither do I 🤣. That's why I take them to the car wash every other week. I have a membership for a chain here called Loop, $15 wash with $1 off when you accumulate enough points, and 5th wash is free. I just drive through it, does a good job. Sometimes if there is some stuck on bug goo or bird poop, I just use waterless carwash to spot clean that area. What can I say, I love Black! Although the Model 3 Performance next year I'll probably get it in dark grey. I've seen a couple on the road and the color looks nice. May go for the White interior, but we'll see when the time comes next year
The problem is the carwash swirls the hell out of the paint. That’s why I drive light colored cars. If that doesn’t bother you then that’s fine.
Everybody cares about different things. Clearly I don’t worry about it THAT much because I run both cars through car washes every week but I choose lighter colors because the swirls don’t stand out and bug me.
If I get one of these darker colored cars I am considering I will have to go back to hand washing or having someone hand wash them. $7,500 for a full clear bra is not worth it.
Nothing wrong with caring about the appearance of your property.
understood! i did it a few years, then got help then eventually sold my huge zero turn mower i never used.
I actually like doing it, I just really don't have the time. The guy who does my weeding and mulching and all of that (THAT I will never do, but mowing and general upkeep I don't dislike) needs the money, and I'm happy to pay him $30 to mow it.

I know how much @Hameed likes when we hijack his threads, so now my turn 🤣 My gardner (who's actually a landscaper) mows my lawn twice a month for $80. It takes him about 15 or 20 minutes as we only have lawn in the backyard, the front is mulch. He also blows the leaves in both front and back. He more does it as a favor because he planted our lawn in the backyard two years ago, which was a lot of work, he had to remove all the mulch, dig the soil out, add a sprinkler system and put in new dirt, as the old dirt was garbage....and literally full of discarded construction materials when the previous owners remodeled. He reluctantly agreed and took the job because our gardner at the time would go into drinking binges and not show up for months at a time, and when you have a lawn you have to keep it mowed, so we fired him. I would do it myself, but I'm just too lazy
Wow. That looks amazing. I wonder how much something like that would cost. I might want to do something like that if it gets too tedious maintaining the black on my Plaid.
