he first Neue Klasse model will be built at the newly constructed BMW Group plant in Debrecen, Hungary.
The first variant of the fully electric SAV to roll off the production line from autumn 2025 will be the BMW iX3 50 xDrive (electric power consumption, combined: 17.9 – 15.1 kWh/100 km; CO2 class: A; range: 679 – 805 km [421 – 500 miles]; provisional figures as per WLTP) with an output of 345 kW/469 hp and electric all-wheel drive.
Further fully electric variants will follow, including an entry-level model. The market launch of the new BMW iX3 will get underway in Europe in spring 2026 and in the USA in summer 2026
I've owned all sorts of BMWs from the 90s to our last which is a 2021, which is very likely to be our last. The G80/G87 still have a chance with me but that's about it. The new line-up is fugly. Ironically though, these designs seem to really be popular in the EU.
There's also a driving video of the iX3 on Autogefühl's channel from a month or two back. The car was camouflaged but otherwise basically production so go to that video for the driving impressions.
Traditionally, I would hate this. But I sorta kinda dig it. I like their interpretation of a futuristic looking interior design here, even the awkward steering wheel. Some interesting design choices.
Projected Base msrp is $60k before options, meaning a decent spec will probably be $75-80k 💰 Model Y is much cheaper, faster and has more range I believe.
I predict this will be a huge failure in US for BMW just like Macan has been for Porsche.
Really don’t get what BMW executives and Board is counting on here.
