Its all just software.
EV acceleration is like dunking a basketball in a video game.
Model S can do it in 2sec, im sure next one can do it in 1.5sec. At a certain point, these numbers are just not that important. Anything under 4 seconds is really fast.
i think bolded part is important because these cars have become missiles and NO ONE on a public road should be allowed to accelerate 0-60 in under 2 seconds imo. their reaction time wouldn't be sufficient if anyone or anything suddenly appeared in their path. they'd be road pizza.

This won't become the norm. Everyday EV'S will mostly be limited to just under 5 seconds or above. Just like in the ice world, 10 seconds or less cars will be limited to sports cars and exotics and priced beyond the means of normal people. Most EV'S today except a few are limited to 0 to 60 in 4 seconds or more

Go launch a manual car to 0-60 if you want to prove something. Like i said, everyone can dunk like MJ in a computer game.
i don't think this was ever meant to be a test of driver skill, just a fun engineering exercise... and i always have the capacity to appreciate a fun engineering exercise lol
