On the highway, trust it 100% because there are a lot fewer variables to deal with.
Exactly my thoughts on FSD.

Tomorrow I'm leaving on a trip to Southern Cal to meet up with some friends that flew down from NY, so swapped the P2 with my son so I can get the tires rotated and the car washed. After almost two weeks of driving the Polestar, I have to say the Y is a much better car. The Polestar is more fun, but the Y has everything sorted out much better. Like for example throttle response. The Y's throttle response is instant, smooth and linear, while I notice the Polestar's has an ever so slight delay...probably due to the massive amounts of torque it puts down so it doesn't jolt the passengers and shred the tires. Also the Y does a better job at steering and cornering, even though it's bigger and heavier. In a straight line race, the Y is no match for the Polestar, but I'm betting the Y Performance closes that gap down.

Anyway, look forward to my trip to SoCal, where I'll be doing a ton of driving this coming weekend

I'd imagine a YP would smoke a Polestar, am I wrong? Not sure about "closing the gap down"...

In your other pic, looks like you've got new(ish) tires on your Y. What brand? Happy?

A Performance would smoke my Polestar. I chose bad wording.

I have the Continental ProContacts which came with the car from the factory. Great tires and priced pretty well. I had them on my IS350 and installed them on my Polestar recently, they have really good grip on wet and dry roads

Are those tires suitable for EVs?

Yep, they are EV rated tires, they have the cushion insulation inside

I've been driving all over Orange county today, which is massive. From Costa Mesa, to Santa Ana, Newport Beach to Irvine. Started with a 80 percent, and I am now down to 63 percent SoC. Tomorrow I have another full day, heading to Eastvale near Corona, than Monday I head back home.

The number of Tesla's in SoCal is crazy, I would say the majority of new cars out here are Model Y, followed by Model 3. I also suspect most Cyber Truck buyers are from SoCal, sighting a total of 6 just today. That's more than I've seen in three months in NorCal.

Anyway, I leave everyone with a sunset in Newport Beach

Since arriving in SoCal on Friday, I've only had to charge the Y once (80 percent), and despite driving all over Orange county and to Riverside county, I still have 48 percent SoC remaining. I have enough to start my trip home tomorrow, I'll be briefly hitting two super chargers on the way home, which is 390 miles.

SoCal is definitely the king of EV's. There is double the amount of Tesla's here than NorCal, and I saw several Plaids, 6 Cyber Trucks, several Porsche Taycans, and a few Kia EV6 GT's. As far as exotics, also the king, I saw three Lambo's, two of them were purposely crackling their exhausts on the 405 freeway near Costa Mesa.

Look forward to getting back home 😄

I have to drive down to San Bernardino for an IRS audit in either May or June....not looking forward to it, I do my best to avoid California at all costs.
