Nice! Now he just needs to replace those hideous wheel covers.

I told him he should, but his wife will be driving it so he doesn't really care

I actually saw a Model Y with either tempest or tempest lookalike wheel covers this week. I thought they really looked good on the Y. Starting to like them on my car more too. Had planned to maybe put 20s on my mine, but I'm leaning on leaving them now.

They look really good, but my holdback is they are sold on Temu. Temu is hit and miss

IMO the 19’s on the S look too small for the car and 20’s look better and don’t have the tire wear problems that the 21’s have. My tires wear evenly and last 30k miles.

My wife also refuses to remove the wheel covers. I have the wheel cap kit sitting the garage

I'd be taking the covers off at the delivery center.

My younger brother who lives in SoCal just bought and picked up his Model Y RWD yesterday. He texted me yesterday evening "My Autopilot sucks. Runs stop signs, stops in the middle of the road, almost hit a bunch of cars" LOL I had to call him and tell him you don't use Autopilot (actually Traffic Aware Cruise control) unless you're driving on the freeway 🤣. Being a Tesla newby (his first EV as well), he thought Autopilot was FSD, which of course is an understandable mistake. He's still on v11, so I told him wait until he gets the latest update where he will get the latest version and FSD trial

🤣🤣 So that happened to me as well my first time renting a Model 3. I was like this MF’er is running off the road and about to run a red light. Also I was like well why isn’t it taking the exit. I later learned that tone was for me to take control of the wheel and I didn’t have FSD.

2nd time behind the wheel, I used it on the highway and it worked well even thru light construction with a few S turns. At one point I turned around and talked to the person sitting behind me 🫣🤣 while going down the highway. 🤣

What makes it more confusing is if you have Autosteer enabled. A lot of non or new Tesla owners confuse FSD with Autopilot, but you learn after your first fiery 10 car pile up 🤣🤣

well especially if you did not purchase FSD, so autosteer is essentially just treating everything as a highway and will run traffic lights.

My brother is new to Tesla, and now he's figured it out. He still hasn't gotten the v12 update and free 30 day trial yet. My brother lives in Southern California and his commute is a nightmare, so I'm pretty sure once he tries it, he'll gladly pay the $99 a month, which will be well worth it, as he's saving $100 a week not driving his Infiniti M37

Parks it perfectly, even in tight spots
