I'm pretty sure 10 - 15 years from now, Full-size Sedan will be trending back
Yeah GenZ is already starting to disdain their parent's SUVs like us Gen Xers did with our parent's station wagons.

I see local dealer probably has 1 premium in stock now and window sticker is showing 21 inch alloy wheels option added for $2140

Are these for the Hybrid engine or EV?

Why would anyone pay $60K for an unproven, slow, front-wheel drive, 200-mile range EV car with no charging infrastructure, while you can get the proven Tesla model 3 or model Y starting at $30K+, for $60K you could get a 500HP+ trims that can do 0-60 in 3s . Love Lexus but this is a pain, hopefully there will be some gains down on the road!

With EVs range is EVERYTHING
With every charge and discharge, the range diminishes. You really only have 20% - 80% charge to work with if you want your battery to last.
Toyota EVs are trash with regards to range.

If I want an EV I would get a Tesla, the benchmark of EV.
If I want a hybrid, it would be a Toyota.

With the demise of the Model S/X, there's no luxury models left in Tesla's lineup. The 3/Y/CT do NOT have luxury interiors. Of course it's subjective and needs to be seen in person, but so far the new ES interior looks much better than Tesla and the reviews so far show very little road noise. The Highland and Juniper still have high levels of road noise to me and that's unbearable for me.

The EV performance numbers do look average to below average. But I will also hold out for independent (magazine) testing.

EPA range spec cheats in favor of SUVs. Sometimes sedans vastly outperform relative to EPA.

Tesla doesn't make luxury cars.

I myself wouldn't get a luxury EV. Both traits that equal poor depreciation. But if I wanted a luxury EV I wouldn't buy a Lexus. I would buy used. A used Audi RS E-Tron. You can get them for like 1/2 off after a couple of years on the used lot. They still have warranties, good range, great luxury and fantastic performance.

I believe they have the same charging ports as Tesla meaning you can charge at any Tesla charging stations.

But yes, for the same amount of money I'd get a Model 3 Performance.
I'd get a Model 3 Performance if it weren't for the high cost of insurance in my neck of the woods. The best rate I could find was $360 a month.
$4,320 a year.
$21,600 over the course of 5 years.
Absolutely not.
