from what I understand there is an embargo on driving impressions until March 27th: so after that you may start seeing impressions then
Exactly, I saw somewhere that the embargo was extended from March into April, but now we're already into May and there's still nothing.
I don't really understand why some companies impose these kinds of restrictions; if the product is truly good, there should be nothing to fear from early positive reviews; unless there's reason to expect otherwise.
With tech products it's always a terrible sign when the embargo is later than the for-sale date. Hopefully this is just Toyota being not so good at PR rather than there being a real problem.

Yeah, I'm not sure why there's an embargo on the BEV since that one was supposedly supposed to be announced first. The hybrid I get cause it's not actually out yet but I don't know. Maybe they have a rhyme or reason for it. I find this whole roll out to be super slow in general. When I drove the 500 E it was a very nice ,very smooth ride so I can't really imagine why they're waiting unless they're trying to purposely build up an anticipation
8ES and 8ESh launched in Europe. Both versions at the same time, the hybrid comes in Luxury.
Why they are letting NA down?
Can somebody from Lexus explain this?
I lowkey appreciate it. Premium+ trim means you can get Mark Levinson with leatherette. I don’t think that’s ever been possible before. As a dad with young children, yes please!
Local dealer now showing 1 BEV expected real soon and 4 in transit and 10 hybrid expected in June and all with Premium package. there is either a shortage of premium items or Lexus is reserving it for rest of world.

i believe they know, if anything, hybrids are nearly guaranteed to sell while a Lexus BEV has notoriously been poor selling (last time i checked, #14 in sales in all EV brands in US) so they want to draw attention to the BEV in hopes if "jump starting" some kind of Lexus BEV push in NA.
