It is very attractive for sure. But it is still like a crossover.

I like this angle and color combination.

Not many of either I can say that about. But for me, the interior is what's most important.

front door looks too small and square. undersized. the door handles look way oversized as a result. the proportions are just all kinds of weird.

What a mess. It needs to at least match my Tesla 3 for range, but it falls short.

They should have just brought the crown sedan (different roofline and more features than the Toyota crown “sedan” we get in North America). Give it the same power train as the crown platinum (380h/400tq) and then did the BEV after that.

Quote: I just saw my first one and Lexus Racing USA was nice enough to give me the keys. Caviar is the color to get. The interior is roomier than the LS 500. I’m 6”5 and fit easily front and back. More to come

how is the head room in the rear?

rear headroom took me out of the market on a new crown platinum and cpo LS500. I’m hoping that the new ES is closer to the JDM crown “sedan” (which is actually a hatchback like a A7). I’d be open to the hybrid 8ES, but the range on the initial BEV is a non-starter. My Tesla has barely enough range in real world driving.

Rear seat room is where this shines. I am 6”5. I made a couple of videos
