Toyota domination
This ranking is dumb.
It doesn't focus on how many cars are sold per unit of time = the speed at which a car sells.
Instead it deals with inventory length, which is just a metric of how tightly manufacturers match their production to demand - a thing Toyota is known for.

True; I think a better metric is how long a new vehicle must sit on the dealer's lot before it gets sold. That will reflect on the desirability of the brand/model as well as the tendency of some factories (brands) to load up the dealers with units and, thus, the impact on the bottom line of the dealers. I've seen in the past somewhere that these numbers were shown; (and, if I were a Stelantis dealer, I'd be very nervous). It would also show the comparison between IC and electric...have you noticed how much advertising is presently being done for electrics?...apparently they aren't selling all that well so that's where the advertising dollars are going. It might look nice politically to show how "strong" vehicle manufacturing is doing in the tariff regime but the fiscal day of reckoning is just around the corner...if not already in motion.
