The first step would be to paint this horrible black plastic under the headlights and that horrible plastic on the doors. And then, try to lower the front hood and hide that enormous gap between the hood and the fender.

I noticed that the charge port can be on the left and on the right side.

In Caviar color those pieces blend in well, so Caviar is a must for this generation

Sorry, but just not “feeling” it.

The steering wheel looks like it belongs in an econo pick-up … and my god why do we need to reinvent the gear selector. The stalk on the steering wheel and the lever on the center console worked very well for decades. Even that short lever sticking out from the dash on my CT was okay. Plus I like resting my right hand on the console shift-lever when driving. It’s just a hold-over from all of my days shifting gears manually. Had the round gear selector **** thingy on my RZ and it was frustrating always needing to look down and say to myself … push down and turn left for Reverse or turn right for Drive. Muscle memory just didn’t click. Totally unnecessary changes for change sake it seems.

And I won’t rehash all of the comments that I’ve seen about the exterior other than to say that I agree with most of them, especially the disdain many have about that
hideous black plastic hockey stick affixed to the side of the car. Why?

Default Big

This thing is big, 6”longer than the 2025 and within 4” of the former LS500.
Is Lexus planning on it being the new flagship sedan?
Will the interior be up to LS standards?
The ES500 is interesting, but lacks the horsepower of some competitors. Range is too pathetic for long trips.
No V6 on any ES. Now that will be a deal breaker for traditional Lexus buyers.

The black under each headlight is hideous looking like running mascara. The black plastic liner graph on the driver's door represents their sales demise.

I just saw my first one and Lexus Racing USA was nice enough to give me the keys. Caviar is the color to get. The interior is roomier than the LS 500. I’m 6”5 and fit easily front and back. More to come

I agree with you regarding the color, but you are forced to get the EV if you want the 21” wheels and Luxury package.
