CD Player
Now, now, boys, that's enough teasing the newcomer!
@TerryNVA I was in the same boat as you for a long time, holding on to my old ways of listening to music. But streaming technology is just too easy to use (even for us old folks), and what it offers is, well, unlimited. I quickly retired all my CDs knowing that my entire collection is available at the touch of a button. Not to mention everything else under the sun. Podcasts, audiobooks and more have really blown my mind as to what's out there from an entertainment and educational angle.
I guess that's a long way of saying, that tech is long gone in the rearview mirror now, and trying to retrofit a modern car hardly sounds worth the effort, given modern day options.
Anyway, I hope you're enjoying your ES, and welcome to the forum!

If it were me, though, I'd just rip the audio CD and put the music files on a USB flash drive or import them into your smartphone's music player's music library.
I agree with GRP. I have had cassette players and CD players, and even 6 disc changers (in the trunk and, later, in the dash), but those are old technologies. Today, with a '24 ES, I find it easier to copy mp3 files to a USB flash drive, which can hold much more than a CD, and can be re-written. I've got a separate folders for different kinds of mucic, and one for audiobooks and hour-long standup specials, which are especially nice for longer road trips.
Try it.
Oh, I almost forgot: it's also less expensive.

Things were so simple "back in the day"
I can gut the dashboard down to the cabin frame in 30 minutes. Try that on a newer model.
I think it started getting exponentially more complicated right after this 1983 model year.

Search on a string like "OAUW USB External Car Universal CD Player USB Connection Portable CD Player for Car" and you will find other sources (e.g., eBay, Walmart) for it in addition to similar products.
