As long as we are discussing touchscreen or no touchscreen, I believe my 2022 two touch solution is best. I am fairly comfortable with the touchpad and prefer to use it most of the time in order to minize fingerprints. I will ocassionally use the touch screen when I am in traffic and need to make a very quick input selection. I also keep a microfibre screen cloth closeby to maintian a clean touchscreen.

And I'm not alone. Car and Driver's review in 2019 was headlined "An Attractive Luxury Sedan with a Frustrating Flaw" (yep, the touchscreen). And in 2022, Cars.com declared the entire car had moved up in their esteem because of the change:

2023 marked another upgrade with the adoption of the new infotainment interface from other Lexus models, which is more modern and faster than previous ES's. But for me personally, the biggest step forward was a system that was finally at least usable enough that it didn't degrade the entire car (an opinion with which I know many of my esteemed peers here sincerely disagree).
I agree with you 100%. I originally wanted a 2020 F Sport in Silver Lining with red guts but the touchpad was a deal breaker. Once the 22s came out with touchscreen and I had over 4K in equity in my used car, I knew it was time to trade it in for an F Sport. I never use the touchpad. It’s too sensitive and difficult to use. It’s a complete headache.

Ditto on the microfiber cloth. It fits neatly in the driver's door pocket.

Are these changes for the es model only or do they include the esh? The hybrid subforum also included commentary about the ride/suspension being improved starting with the 22

I honestly don't think there were any truly significant changes to the ride or suspension for 2022, or at any point during the 7th Gen.

The nice thing about the 22 model is that you can use whichever you want to use because it has both!

If the ride improved on the 22 model, then I'd hate to have ridden in the prior year because I believe that the ride is pretty harsh for a "Luxury" vehicle but I'm also comparing it to a 2009 LS460 with the air suspension. That's not apples to apples but still, I think that it's a bit on the firmer side in the ES.

It's hard to tell sometimes. I got my information from this post here (on the ESH subforum): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hyb...l#post11614069

That is good to know, but unfortunate that an 09 has a better ride than a 22 model (even though they are different models)! I am looking for a super comfortable ride, but I have never had a luxury car before of my own but have been in an 2012 (?) LS 460 plenty of times back in the day.

Ride comfort can be very subjective. It's always best to test drive on different type roads for a good 1/2 hour to get a feel.

ESh wants to know: "Can you touch the right side of thw [sic] screen without leaning forward?"
Yes; it's not too far a reach at all.

I stand corrected, depending on one's definition of "siginficant." Here's what a Lexus press release said when the '22s came out:

"The 2022 ES builds on the strides made with Lexus Driving Signature on IS and IS 500 with additional performance updates, including a new rear suspension member brace to further enhance torsional rigidity, handling stability, and ride comfort."
