Default 18" Noise Reduction Wheels Availability

Hello, ES owners! I recently acquired a '23 ES 300h and it's been great so far. Been toying with the idea of swapping out the original 18" "split-10-spoke alloy wheels" for a set of those sexy noise reduction rims, but am not sure I have the right part number. If anyone happens to know it (and/or where to buy a set for a reasonable price), I'd appreciate the insight!

I have the NR wheels on my Ultra Lux ES and have to say that I don't notice any difference between the base wheels and the premium wheels. I had the base wheels on my 2013 and now the NR on my 2019. Not worth the money - and they are expensive - in my opinion. However if you just like the appearance that's another story.

Consensus here is that the difference between N/R and non is negligible. The ES has a lot of sound deadening to begin with so the actual benefit would be very incremental.

My '22 ESh UL has the N/R wheels but I can't say that they really help decrease road noise because I don't have a comparison. I put on aftermarket wheels with studded winter tires so all I hear are the studs on the road right now. If I was you I wouldn't waste any money on the noise reducing wheels.

I once saw a local mint set for $600 when i got my ES in 2021... i'm kicking myself for not getting them. I'm not 100% sure i want them but perhaps i want them as a grass is always greener thing. I do like how they look. i just wish they had different finish options. like machined or something.

my favorite 7ES wheels are definitely the 22+ 18" premium.

There’s a YouTube video with a comparison between NR and normal 18 inch Lexus wheels by Lexus engineers. They hit the tire on the normal wheel with a small bat or similar and it makes the expected PONNNNNNG sound. Then they hit the tire on the NR wheel and it makes a muted PUH sound. There’s a big difference, but the primary benefit seems to be only the reduction of impact noise not rolling tire noise.

Love my machined 18 inch wheels! I wanted the NR ones until I saw these. They remind me of the 2000 BMW M5 wheels.

I also have the machined wheels and they look very good as well, no doubt about it. While I'm in no hurry to swap them out, it's just that IMHO the NR wheels best compliment the aesthetic of the car out of all the other OEM wheel options. I'm already very satisfied with the noise level in this vehicle, so I'm not ashamed to admit how, for me, it's about the looks. I'm sure a new set would cost an arm and a leg, but if I could find a good, used set for a decent price, I'd be all over it. Then I'd just swap over my michelins to the new rims and sell the originals to recoup some of the expense. There's quite a few for sale on ebay, but I still can't figure out the part number..

The 7ES is the rare car that teeters on the edge of lux/sport appearance where the wheels are a big determinant of how the car is perceived.

On many other cars sporty wheels look out of place, or classy more lux wheels look out of place depending on the car.

Yeah machined look is still my favorite. I like my diamond-cut/machined 18" premiums. But i would definitely trade for the 22+ 18" premiums. Both are quite distinct designs though. I like to think of mine as classic ES and the new ones modern ES. Mind remind me a bit of classy old man which I like. the new ones are like sporty old man. which i also like.

if you did that, your car will look like a 2019. just fyi!

also they're wheels, not "rims." or as i like to put it, "RiMz"

They look like a Lexusfied version of the Camry XSE ones which I've always liked.

Exactly. I cannot tell any difference from the base wheels I had on my 2015 ES. I do like the appearance very much however.

The stock 19" F-sport wheel on my 19 F-sport is the best looking wheel , not too chomey, not too darky, have some machine finished kinda thing but still have a decent shiny, not too spoky but still show some muscular... Together with the stock low profile Michelin tire, best duo... LOL
