I’m tired of my Lane departure warning system. I succeeded in turning off the audio signal but can’t turn off the steering wheel vibration. I looked over the settings but couldn’t find an icon definitively for the vibrating wheel warning, except to replace it with the audio signal instead. I assume one can turn off the lane departure warning. How do I do it?

The settings in the multi-information display are only for adjustments as you've discovered. Not to actually enable or disable the LDA/LTA. You press the LTA button on the right side of the steering wheel in between or on the bottom around the the cruise control buttons. That is where you basically enable/disable the function. I'm going by memory but you'll see it display in the dash each time you depress the LKA/ LTA button. Toggle until it displays off.
The lane centering function only works when the dynamic radar cruise control is active/operating.

No worries. Sometimes the functions are confusing and sometimes the manual can compound that. I just get in there and mess around and hopefully not do too much damage.

Okay, now that you’ve solved that, how about this:
I had my 10,000 mile service including oil change at 7500 miles. Nevertheless I started getting constant maintenance reminders on the multi information display around 9000 miles and they still pop up even though I’m now well past 10,000 miles. I have to click it off each time I start the car which is annoying. Is there a way to permanently delete it?
Thanks in advance and I also apologize for not having hunted through the manual.

Yes, you can reset the current maintenance reminder until the next interval anyway. I'm attempting to upload images I’ve taken but They are getting stuck at 90% upload. I’ll have to figure that out later. So until then. Start by going to settings on the multi-info center. Top right wheel cog for settings. Arrow down to Vehicle settings and select. Then choose Scheduled Maint.first and then Oil Maint. second, each one will allow you to reset. The message should now no longer appear everytime you start the car until the next scheduled maintenance.

I found much of those safety devices annoying and unnecessary. Not crazy about the adaptive part of adaptive cruise, turned off lane departure and over speed limit. Grateful for the automatic braking, especially in reverse and have to have beepers as I near an object. Mixed bag, I guess.

Mines disabled. It's cute for about 30 minutes but daily driving its annoying. I turn it on for long highway trips though. Also turn on the sensitivity to max for detecting cars in front of you on said trips. in case i fall asleep.
Sensitivity settings: Both LTA and PCS (Pre-Collision System) have sensitivity settings.
I also have set the Lane Trace setting to High rather that Standard, seems to minimize oscillations.
However, if we are discussing the PCS sensitivity which has 3 levels (like Dynamic Cruise) you may
discover as I did that selecting the Max distance (3 green arcs) will actually cause an unexpected problem.
The scenario is when merging onto a highway at 56 mph and the semi is in the right lane going 55 mph.
As you merge in behind and plan to continue across to the left or middle lane the PCS will sense the closing
distance and chop the throttle... a lot. There is no way (or time) to enter the menus while driving and no handy
steering wheel button as with Dynamic Cruise or LTA. The default PCS setting is two (2) green arcs and I
recommend that you keep that.
Speaking of safety systems, I don't think anything can quite prepare you for the first time you have an experience with the auto brake assist when backing up. It is so jarring that I nearly thought I had collided with another car from out of nowhere. I admit it has saved me a few times from getting rammed from the side in parking lots but damn, that first time was rough. The audible warning along with the brake pedal sensations are enough that it scared the S*** out of me the first time. Now, I'm extra cautious in certain parking lot situations because I've had the auto-brake activate even when just barely backing up and a pedestrian walks by at the wrong angle.
