Can you see the thin black gasket between the chrome piece and the silver part of the car? I had no issues peeling off and transferring it from the original piece to the new piece.

 

Similar to Pete, mine fit pretty much almost perfect but fitment could be a little better if shift it around a bit. Don't fully tighten the first screw and adjust things as needed to make sure it's all secured evenly.

I've had mine on for about a year and half? 2 years? and noticed the chrome trim started separating a bit from the red light part. Was able to secure it back in place with some super glue.

Also applied a thin layer of silicone at the ends where the felt is. Lifted the felt, applied and pushed the felt back.

 

 

Bought one on ebay that was advertised as looking like this (solid red), but it arrived with chrome trim at the top. Came from China, so the return process would've likely cost me about half what I paid for the item.

Looking to sell this to a US buyer at-cost ($300) OBO, and I'll cover shipping from San Antonio. Also will trade for one without the chrome trim, and I'd be willing to cover the shipping of both.

Never installed -- still has the shrink wrap on it, just pulled it out of the shipping box and noticed it wasn't what I wanted. Includes the 2 bags with harness/connectors.

 

i’m curious, is that your red ES? It clearly shows it has chrome on the tail light. Why would you not want to replace with the LED light with chrome since that is what is currently on your vehicle? I utilize the same LED light bar with chrome and it looks fantastic and OEM. Just curious why you want the one without chrome?

 

Yep, it's our red Ultra Lux. We plan on blacking out the remainder of the chrome accents on the vehicle, so we want this LED piece to not have any chrome on it (like the one on the Grey car above).

 

Are you wrapping or painting trim? Either way, just have the current chrome pieces finished in the same manner (wrapped or painted) and then they are guaranteed to match the rest of the pieces that you're blacking out.

Just a thought.

Thank you LS500Fan for getting back to me so quickly. I took a second look at your video, and in the second half, you show a close-up of the plug when you are connecting to the backup light. It shows exactly what color goes to which terminal pin slot for both the male and female sockets.


Hello to Everyone.....

Really hoping that someone, anyone can help me. I bought the light bar to install on my 23' about a little over a month ago, and haven't had time to install it as I'm currently traveling almost the entire month as of late. That being said, this week I was able to start....but not finish as I am missing one of the plug n play connectors, specifically the one that goes to the trunk lid.

I'm not asking anyone for your plug.....I'm asking if someone who still has a kit that is uninstalled or laying around.....or even someone who installed it already; would please, please, please send some very detailed pics of your plug. Specifically, where each wire is connected to each of the plugs, and where the single wire connects as well. I've found the plugs themselves, and I'm just going to wire them up myself. I just need to know how many wires and where each one lands on each plug. I've included a screenshot of the specific connector I'm referencing.

This is for the Trunk Connector....not the left or right tailights.

These won't wrap well, as the light portion and chrome portion are half of the housing. We just want unwrapped red housing to replace the factory chrome (as this style does exist, see above) and we will be wrapping the rest of the chrome on the vehicle gloss black.

I want it done to specifically what I have in mind, not simply what will work well enough to make use of a shipment error from China.
