would I be able to use a fuse tap instead of connecting it into the battery itself? sorry for the bugging. not too familiar with electrical/wiring and hoping to figure everything out before I take everything apart.
I'm noticing a rising trend in several manufacturer's denying warranties as modding becomes more mainstream where your every day civilian is doing them. Companies using any excuse they can even if only remotely related. I can see this with all the companies penny pinching nowadays it's becoming a trend and know they have an easy out and you'll have the cost and burden of suing and they know you won't do so. So yes even though we all know certain mods shouldn't cause complete failure of certain parts, if they're near or around the area or in any way connected, the manufacturer can go wink wink yeah that's not covered.

Fortunately, for us, the Magnuson-Moss Act has already been through the court system and proved the courts will side with the vehicle owner. It’s actually against the wall for the dealers to not warranty an item just because it was a mod unless they can prove the mod caused the failure.
I’m really considering buying this light bar. The only problem is bothering me is a fit and finish.
Can somebody post some close up pictures?
If you're really interested in getting one, I have the same unit that LS500Fan used sitting in the original box in my basement. I've never used or installed it or even hooked it up, if you're interested. I'd let it go for $200 plus shipping (or make a reasonable offer). We sold our 2022 ES 350 UL and so if I can give someone a deal on it and they can use it, it's a win/win situation for both parties involved. They get a deal on one and I get it out of Our basement.
If you'd like pictures or anything like that, Please let me know and I'll be Happy to get them to you.
I Apologize for the hi-jack and unsolicited ad too.

A generous offer. Just curious: What prompted you to sell the UL?

The ES turned out to be a nice car with some great features but was disappointing when it came to the ride. When going over bumps, the spring rates seemed somewhat aggressive for a car that was labeled to be an "Executive Sedan" (what ES stands for) and seemed stiffly sprung for us. My Wife then fell and broke her back and then the seats started bothering her, so We decided that it was time to look for something different. The ES was a good car that had decent power (V6) and got surprisingly good mileage if driven for that purpose but she just wasn't right for us.
The downside to the ES350 was that it was also getting compared to our old car................a 2009 Lexus LS460 AWD! That was one of the most comfortable cars on the planet! Granted, I haven't driven every car on the planet but Lexie (our old LS460's name) was as comfortable as a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer on a cold night!

That makes a lot of sense. I agree that the LS 460 was an unfair comparison for nearly any car, but I was also surprised from the very first test drive that the ES didn't glide creamily over everything like everybody said. I think it repays that loss with surprisingly acceptable handling, but it is not exactly what it's talked up to be. It's a bit different than that, and from your description, I can easily see why it wasn't a perfect fit for your situation.

Hey, that’s by design to be “sporty” because it’s “safer” - or some such nonsense that we’re told and sold by the automotive press and manufacturers. Sigh, it’s the one thing I wish the most that I could change and soften up on my ’22 ES.
I've got the same one sitting here that I'd let go for $150 plus shipping. It's brand new and never been on the car. We sold our ES350 before installing it.
If anyone is interested in it, Please let me know and I Apologize for the Hi-jack/Shameless Advertisement/Plug.
Now that you've had it on for a few years, have you had any issues with it?

I might be interested in buying it if you still have it. My account is still too new to send DM's, though.
I purchased the light bar from Freddy back in May. I followed LS500fan video tutorial to the tee and was able to get it installed. I also added the shut off animation tied to the ES 300h battery in the trunk and have been very pleased with it and zero drain on the battery once it is off. Also, LS500fan inspired me to install ambient lights which just top off the look and feel for this amazing car. No other mods other than illuminating sill plates, projector puddle lamps on all 4 doors and an after market dash cam which fits seamlessly OEM in rear view mirror console.
