Default 2020 ES 350 digital screen

My 2020 ES 350 received late Sept. digital screen changes screen size from split to full when on Freeway. I start with a split screen and after entering freeway within a few miles the screen size changes to full. Also when the split screen on radio and enter freeway the exits show until screen changes to full. I do not believe this electronic feature operating correctly. Cannot find any reference in manual about screen changing size.

Will appreciate comments and assistance. Thanks

If you do a "search" on this forum, you'll find the answer. I can't remember the settings to change it to full screen. (don't have the car with me now"

See the "Exiting Navigation "Freeway Exit List"" thread started back in April with a software update solution posted by TechLex in September:

1. Ensure that you have the latest version of the multimedia system software installed. This can be downloaded from Lexus here: https://securedp.lexus.com/download-app/downloads. This is a free update from Lexus which you can install yourself. Please be sure to follow the instructions from Lexus on the website carefully. Lexus provides the website above in their FAQs: https://lexus2.custhelp.com/app/answ...ment/related/1

2. Once the software has been installed successfully and the car engine turned off and on again, press the MENU button and click on Setup.

3. Navigate to the following option: Navigation -> Detailed Navi Settings -> Automatic Freeway Exit List

4. Select OFF

The key is to ensure that your multimedia software is up to date otherwise the option in step 3 isn’t available.

Does that website work for anyone else? When I try to watch the instruction video, nothing loads. Tried Firefox, Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. The instructions don't load on any of them.

Hmmm.... Do you have pop-up windows blocked? Are you using ad blockers?

With pop-up windows allowed and no ad blockers used, the videos play in an "in window" pop-up video video player that overlays the entirety of the window content region when using both iOS and MacOS Safari web browsers.

When I try to play the videos with the Brave web browser which has built-in ad blocking, the I can get the pop-up video player but no video will play..

The Opera web browser behaves the same as the Brave web browser - both with ad blocking turned on and with it turned off. (I did notice in the html source code controlling the video player pop-ups that a syle: blocked gets inserted in the code for those two browsers. Since whatever is the problem looks to be something beyond user means to fix, I didn't spend any further time on trying to figure out why that happens.)

As to Firefox and Chrome web browsers, it has been a long time since I've used them it'll take more time that it worth it to get them and the all the add-on updated.

As a follow-up workaround, try these direct links to the video source files:

Video– Computer download instructions for PC

Video– Computer download instructions for MAC

Video– Vehicle update instructions

In my limited testing those direct links to mp4 video files appear to avoid the not playing issues with the pop-up video player.
